"We are sure that you will enjoy the wealth of experiences that Costa Rica has to offer.
With the Inex programs you will study in one of the nation's top universities, and still be
able to move from a large urban center to tropical rainforest in an hour."

Becoming a partner institution

As partner of the International Network for Educational Exchange universities create added value to their students' study curriculum, increase cultural awareness and promote international cooperation. To become a member and offer INEX programs to your students your institution needs to follow some simple steps. The following information will guide you through the process.

1. Registration Form

In favor of the students, their home institutions commit to give credit for successful participation in courses at INEX programs. At the same time they help to communicate new study opportunities to students. INEX on the other side guarantees its academic standards and commits to outstanding organizational performance. The Registration Form is required to guarantee correct data and to insure direct communication. Also it gives information regarding accreditation, study curriculum, academic calendar and international cooperation. Please fill out the form and send it to the responsible regional INEX coordinator.

2. Receipt of information material

After a schedule for student communications has been set, a package of informational material is sent to the new Sending Institution. It usually consists of decorative posters, flyers, brochures etc. Those materials are to be distributed to the different faculties and posted in the most frequented areas of the institution to inform students.

3. Info Stands and Info Sessions

New Sending Institutions will usually be visited by INEX staff to provide first hand information to university representatives and students. Those visits will be held in form of informational sessions for interested students and university staff. A presentation of the network and the different programs will be given with the opportunity to ask all questions arising. Furthermore informational stands will be located in the central areas of the campus in order to give students the opportunity to direct their questions to experienced INEX associates and receive a deeper insight into the programs.

4. Application Period

During the application period students are free to apply for the various programs offered. Applications will be handed in at the international office or directly sent to the INEX electronically. They should consist of the application form, the personal curriculum vitae and a motivational letter; all in English language. Also, students can use the INEX online application form to submit their applications directly.

5. Evaluation

At the end of every program students will get the chance to evaluate the program they participated in. On a 15 page form they will give their opinion on each and every program component, which leaves open spaces for new ideas and improvements. The information and feedback given will be shared with the Sending Institution in order to ensure high academic and service standards.

6. Certificates and Accreditation

After participation in an INEX program participants receive a grade transcript (and/or certificate) issued by INEX and the Receiving Institution. Official grade transcripts will be sent from INEX to the home university of the participating students and be picked up by them, or sent to the students directly. The process of accreditation will be fixed in advance with every new Sending Institution so that the procedure can be as efficient as possible and credits can be transferred without complications.

At this final point the cycle of an abroad term is completed. Students profit from an unforgettable cultural and academic experience, Sending Institutions profit from a wider range of international offers and later on from the reputation of forming highly educated graduates with an increased international awareness.

By fulfilling the tasks and requirements stated above, the new Sending Institution ensures the functioning of this mutual agreement and helps to receive an important contingent for their students to be able to attend INEX programs.
